What’s Your Career Story? With Kyla Rose Sims & Adam Brayford

What did you want to be when you were growing up? For many of us, our careers started as a naive dream from childhood, and at some point, we broke in and started a work life for ourselves.

Our life ambitions and career journeys make us into the professionals we become. Each company, organization, and team we’ve worked with came with its own gifts, struggles, and culture. We’ve had work friends and work rivals who have allowed us to grow. And let’s not forget the business ups and downs, entrepreneurship opportunities, and economic rollercoasters we’ve faced.

All these scenarios force us to perform our craft and evolve in new ways, but we don’t always take a step back to appreciate the opportunities and challenges that led to our progress.

Well, let’s talk about it.

In this new series we’re piloting at IABC New York Tristate, we ask, “What’s your career story?” and explore the career paths of the many extraordinary people around us.

Our first guests in this conversation are Kyla Rose Sims and Adam Brayford. They are two exceptionally talented, creative, award-winning, and community-building unicorns. Both have entered their workplaces in very different ways, at some point their paths brought them to the same organization, and their careers continue to advance.

Join us to learn about their career journey and all the things that have led them to excel in beautiful ways.
