About our Speaker

Mary Lou Panzano, Founder and CEO, Panzano Enterprises, LLC, and Former Vice President, Internal Communications, Bayer

Mary Lou is an experienced, award-winning communications executive turned prosperity coach, speaker, and author. Her passion is helping people prosper in times of change and beyond.

Drawing from more than 30 years of experience leading successful programs to support transformational change efforts at global companies, Mary Lou shares wisdom, knowledge, insights, and practical tips on leadership and how to make change work at work or in life. Her “11 Principles of Prosperity” blog series is timeless and applies universally to anyone looking to become their best self. 

Mary Lou retired in early 2022 as vice president, internal communications at Bayer, where she led strategic communications programs for the company’s 30,000 employees based in the U.S. She was the lead communicator on the company’s U.S. crises team, spearheading COVID-19 pandemic employee communications. Previously, she led the retiree relations function at Pfizer and held several senior communications roles at Prudential. 

Helping people prosper extends beyond Mary Lou’s part-time speaking and coaching business. She serves as President of the Board of Directors of Morris Habitat for Humanity, volunteers in her community, and lectors and serves on the Pastoral Council at church. 

When not speaking, coaching, writing, or volunteering, Mary Lou is a loving wife, mothering caregiver to their German Shepard, Bruno, stepmother to two grown children, and a new grandma! 

In her spare time, you will catch Mary Lou doing the things she loves most with those she loves most. These include activities such as babysitting their grandson on Fridays, entertaining, cooking, dining with friends, reading, gardening, traveling, and enjoying precious quite time—which she has to schedule!
